Anthomyiid species attending a Vapourer Moth

Looks like an anthomyiid to me. I don't know of any that are moth egg predators or parasitoids.

Thanks Tony. It was interesting behaviour which unfortunately I had to leave as my time was limited. I wish I'd been able to observe for longer and maybe figure out what the fly's intentions had been. |
