hi flyforum, This fly was on bark a bark of Alnus. It's a small fly, ~ 2-3 mm. A Medetera species, maybe M. truncorum from East Turkey from this forum: http://www.diptera.info/forum/viewthread.php?thread_id=31782 Turkish specimens recorded on lower parts of tree bark of Salix babylonica and observed as good hunters on Chironomid flies. |
