Hi,
Two days ago I came across this handsome fly. As to thorax setae and wing venation it should be an Anthomyiid, so I thought of a Leucophora.
Can this be confirmed? In the gallery, there are only pictures of dead ones that, with legs dangling, give a very different impression. My fly sat like a Pollenia. The arista isn't feathery.
Thanks for help,
Sundew

it certainly looks like Leucophora. For some images of life speciems, see e.g. http://corzonneveld.nl/diptera/Calyptratae/Anthomyiidae.php
