NO, it is a Miltogramminae (Sarcophagidae). Should be easy for Liekele (at generic level) Apodacra ? Theo |

Very interesting! The Miltogramminae I know have a rather different "face", but Theo's knowledge tops my experience by far, so no doubt. You'll have to change the title of the thread once more to attract Liekele! |

Miltogramminae and Apodacra is not correct. This is very likely Sarcophaga (Notoecus) longestylata. Compare it with another observation from Portugal: http://www.diptera.info/forum/viewthread.php?forum_id=5&thread_id=16036 For a definite identification examination of specimens or pictures fromt different angles are necessary.
