Small (3-4mm) and gorgeus mosquito-like fly, found today in Portugal. Notice the unusual tip of the abdomen. No idea of ID ot family.

Looks like Micropezidae, but I don't see one to match it in the Gallery Frown

Only a guess though...

It was found away from the beach, walking on a white wall. Very mosquito-liking when in filght.

See the discussion here. I cannot clearly see whether the costa wing is darkened along the margin in the tip (there appears to be the slightest bit), but the pre-apical rings on the femora are clearly closer to the tip than in the thread linked to. I hesitate to draw a conclusion of ephippium or octoannulata.
