This summer, 25-07-2009 on Pastinaca sativa. La Fontouret, Indre, France

Could it be an Amobia species?

I just thought it looked a bit like that (the head, the antennae). But (as you probably know) I know practically nothing about flies, so I suppose I shouldn't suggest something like this. Sorry!

Well, you're right. But it's not my habit to 'see' only the rare species. Normally I'm quite careful with this. But this time: I don't know. I just didn't see it right. And I saw a few pictures from Amobia that looked a bit like this one.
