Hi all,
New to the forum and the world of flies. Funny how little notice we take of our world until a macro lens is part of the picture.
Found this is the garden

Thanks for the help

Welcome to the forum Peter! Smile

Interesting wing markings on this fly - looks like a muscid to me, but I'll wait for the experts to comment Smile

Just a quick reminder ... I approved your account so I know where you are in the world Wink but others here don't so do remember to fill in your Location on your profile and give details like location, date seen & rough size when you post a photo Smile

Already added my details. Thi sparticular fly seems to be a loner in that I have only ever seen one in the same location. It sat for shots once but since tends to hide.

Stephane thank you for id'ing her. I hope to see more

Hi guys
Just wondering if this fly is rare at all since I can find no images of it on the net?
I have found him again in the garden. I'm almost certain it's the same fly and only ever see one

Thanks
