Pinara, SW Turkey, 12 June. Near little water body, with small stream entering and leaving. Heavily shaded by large trees. Rather small fly, some 5 mm I realize Turkish Tachinids are no ones territory, yet any indication (subfamily/tribe) welcome. That is a Wagneriini. You would expect Periscepsia carbonaria in such environment, but it looks a bit different. Maybe Wagneria itself. Difficult group, can't tell from just this one pic. Theo |
