Melanostoma male - probably M.mellinum, but might be M. scalare - it's difficult to be sure.

Doesen't M. scalare have green(er) halteres? Or is that just female or a coincidence that mine had that?

Scalare. Halteres are no character to use. Scalare: very dusted face. More slender, elongated abdomen.
