UK Tachinidae - Cistogaster globosa?

Many thanks Chris, I see this is a specific parasitoid of Aelia acuminata, the Bishop's Mitre. I find this shieldbug very commonly in dry grassland across the SE and beyond, but this is the first time I have ever seen Cistogaster. Is there much evidence it is becoming commoner? Cheers Tristan |

Yes, definitely - we have been receiving more records every year for it in new localities in the south of England. I am a little out of touch with the mapping but I am sure it has now been found in pretty much every county in the south east - from Oxfordshire south and east
