Found 2 females of this fly on a dead tree stump- both were tasting their way round active digger wasp holes and then ovipositing either in or near the holes. About 10mm body length. Taken today South coast UK

Any ideas on ID ?

Brian V.

Thanks for the ID Smile
Do these have any relationship with digger wasps or was that a coincidence ?
