February, Israel.
quite common, large fly, should be around 1.5cm.
i'll u/l three pics, really hope they all of the same species.

They are all sarcophagids, as you say. They are probably Sarcophaga sp. but to go further we need to see the male-genitalia under a microscope and have a good book of keys Smile

Is there any special shots to change it from 'probable' to 'definite' (genus) id? Wink

Not really ... well, not for me anyway Grin The photos look identical to Sarcopgaga spp. here but I don't know your fauna and it is likely to be different to ours Smile I think we can certainly say they are Sarcophaga (sens.lat.), in the broad sense of the definition.
