Welcome !
Your fly is a Muscidae, a male Stomoxys calcitrans, a biting fly (look at the long sclerotized proboscis) annoying cattle.

Welcome to the forum Smile

There is no good answer to that question - other than perhaps the more angles, the better Wink Each fly family relies on different characters for identification but if you include close & clear lateral and dorsal shots of the whole fly then you are starting with good fundamentals. Experts will usually ask to see specific characters later - such as wing, leg or head close-ups Smile
