Dear Paul,

as I am not a Dipterist but just a Biologist (Paleolimnologist) with an
interest in all sorts of insects, I think it does not make much sense to
become a member of your Diptera.info site. However, last week I carried
out a meadow project with third class children. On this meadow
(Arrhenatheretum), we found a representative of the Tipulidae which I
cannot identify. The meadow is located in Luckenwalde, ca. 50 km south
of Berlin (50 m a.s.l.). The soils are sandy.
I would be very thankful, if you can help me. I attach the image as a
jpg-file.
