In samples from marram grass vegetation from the W of France (Soulac-sur-Mer) I found this little fly which I id'ed as Parathalassius blasigii.
As this seems a rather rarely collected taxon it would be nice if someone would be able to confirm if this looks like a good ID?
In the key I use (Chvàla, 1988) there is a map showing the distribution of this and related species and the only locations are Mediterranean (Adriatic Italy, Sicily, Tunesia, S of Spain) or from the Azores. However, as this key is almost 40y old, I was wondering if someone would know if there are already more locations known from this taxon and especially from the atlantic coasts of mainland Europe.
In the same series of samples I also found Microphorella cf. praecox. I would also be interested to learn if species of this genus are known from the atlantic coasts of Europe as in Chvàla, 1988, this is also not the case.

Thanks a lot for your input (and a huge thanks to Ruud van der Weele for providing me with the necessary literature!)
