Stratiomyidae - Sargus sp.?

Found this morning. Seems to be Sargus - about 10mm, longish abdomen, eyes not obviously hairy. Presumably Sargus iridatus on size and date? Please correct me if I'm wrong. mixed woodland, grass clearing. Devon, England. thanks Tim tim worfolk attached the following image: ![]() [78.88Kb] |

Yes, Sargus iridatus is where I place it; as for size and date, they are spot on.
