And another green fly Frown.
I've read quite a few threads, but I´m still not sure, where to put it. I've ruled out Neomyia sp., because I can't see anything green on the head of the fly (on the other hand it's a male - there's not much to see anyway...). There are also too many bristles on the thorax - I think. The same applies for Chrysomyia sp. - too many bristles on thorax and no black on the end of the tergits. Gymnochaeta viridis looks more slender and has way too many bristles. And then there's Lucilia sp. - it may be too early for them? But from the appearance I think I would go for it.
With my luck there's another possibility I didn't consider at all Grin.

And I forgot something:

I found the fly in Eich-Gimbsheim, RLP, Germany on April, 26th on a meadow between a see and a wood.

Regards, Kathrin

P.S.: I'm still trying to upload a picture. I've never had any problems before...

I'm leaning towards L. caesar, but can't be certain.
