This fly was yesterday in La Peņa, Huesca, NE Spain. Pre-pyrenees, 500 meters, mediterranean-alpine transition. Small for a Tachina, same size than Tachina ursina, maybe 6-7 mm. long. As you can see the wings are very damaged. Can it be identified?

Ernestia puparum or argentifrons.

It seems a little odd.

Thanks! The shame is that both species are cited from Spain (E. argentifrons appears as E. argentifera). How can be distinguished both?

The vertex is much too narrow for argentifera, so it must be puparum
