Yes ! t is the same species ! But it is really difficult to explain in few words on the flies morphology !. There is a web page where some details of Acalyptrate are clearly explained: http://www.ento.csiro.au/biology/fly/flyGlossary.html Edited by Andrzej on 07-03-2009 13:59 dr. A. J. No, S. pallida has not so much darkened veins. It seems that scutellum is setulose on the whole surface, but i can not see, if pleuras are setulose or bare. If they are setulose, it can be S. nemorum, if they are bare, it can be S. lurida. May be Andrzej tell more. Katka |

"Larval infestation of Tuber melanosporum". So, it can't be S. lurida species group because their larvae feeding on Allium and related plants ! ![]() dr. A. J. Woznica, Institute of Environmental Biology, Wroclaw University of Environmental & Life Sciences |

Thank you Katerina and Andrzej. I didn´t think it was so difficult. In Spain larval infestation of Tuber melanosporum is attributed to Suillia gigantea. I'll try to make better photos ![]() Best regards! |
