Anthomyiidae or Muscidae, I think. Some days ago, in my garden (urban), Zaragoza, NE Spain, continental-mediterranean climate, 200 meters. It sizes more or less 6-7 mm. long. ![]() ![]() Could be identified? Thanks. Regards Edited by Isidro on 11-11-2008 10:09 |

I think it's Lispocephala brachialis, Muscidae. It's very late to see this species now. Stephane. |

Stephane, I agree with your ID, but disagree that it is late. In Turkey I collected L.brachialis in Dec and Febr. In cold Moscow region, Lispocephala (not brachialis) is among the latest (Oct) and the earliest (March) flies. Nikita Nikita Vikhrev - Zool Museum of Moscow University |
