Can I confirm this is Criorhina ranunculi? Found sunbathing on my windowledge in London today (28/03/08). I stupidly assumed it was M. equestris and took only a few record shots before releasing it.

Thanks Nigel, the site is in TQ30 so would appear to be a new square for the species.

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
