Click again to come back.}  Pierre Duhem : France : Saint-Sornin : 17600 : 25/04/2025 Altitude : 23 m - Taille : 3-4 mm Réf. : 358541 The black halters make it a Diptera. The picture is on a very young oak leaf (Quercus pubescens) where I saw galls of Macrodiplosis roboris and M. pustularis but I never saw Cecidomyiidae antennas of this form. Does somebody have an idea? Thanks you in advance. Pierre Duhem |

The form of the antennal segments and the colour of the haltere suggest to me that this is Sciaridae, but I would need a clearer picture to be certain.

John - I do worry about those Lestremiinae which have a very sciarid-like venation.
