I think this fly belongs to the Lonchaeidae family. Can anything more be said?

Hi Crex

yes its a Lonchaeid - a female of a species in the genus Lonchaea. In the top photo it looks like all the tarsomeres are bleack dorsally, but, in the middle lateral photo, the hind tarsomere appears orange. I cant see the colour of the squammal fringe but I might guess that it is pale, the long antennal flagellomere also gives a clue. If asked to guess from these photos I would say that it could be a specimen of Lonchaea affinis - a relatively common Scandinavian species. recorded in Sweden from ......So; Ly; As; Uplr: Sm; Ja: LuLpm: PLpm; Dir; To; Sk; Ha. .....
