First impression is Allophorocera (used to be: Erycilla) rufipes.

On second thoughts, legs are all black.
So, let's start with the obvious: is this colour natural or did somebody enhance it digitally ?

Yes, of course. That was my first response, but then I corrected it, got confused because rutila of Stein and authors is not rutila of Meigen .... the latter it is. Very rare species.
Please do submit (as rutila Meigen) for the gallery !

Is rutila of Cerretti (2010) the rutila of Meigen? He distinguishes it from ferruginea by color "giallo-dorata, molto luminosa" (bright golden yellow) instead of "ocracea" (ochreous). And the type species has a synonym auripilus despite keying out as gray pollinose under the name pachystyla.

Hi everybody, yesterday I was unable to access the forum so I can answer only now. The author excludes any colour enhancement; the photos wwere only cropped by me before being submitted. Now I understand why I was unable to identify it mself, thanks.

Yes, Cerretti is OK here. Though ferruginea can even be grey ....
