Hello,
this relatively large hoverfly (estimated to be around 13-15 mm long compared to the flight size of known species, unfortunately it's not possible to be more precise) flew through my light barrier set up in the garden (23. September 2023, southern Schleswig-Holstein) - more than this one picture I unfortunately do not have.
Can you still say something about the genus/species?

Thank you and best regards, Frank
