Minettia fasciata?

In my previous thread I was helped to identify this fly as a Minettia. Comparing pictures of the species it looks very much like Minettia fasciata. However, I found somewhere that a fly looking like this belongs to the "Minettia fasciata - group". Does that mean that I cannot safely assume this to be M. fasciata?
