Hello,

there were some Platycheirus cf. albimanus in our garden (northwest Germany) two days ago, but one fly showed different snow white markings on the abdomen. I could not find any match... Unfortunately I could only take this single photo.

Hi Jürgen, most likely it IS P. albimanus since the pattern on the abdomen is very variable..
