 Haematopota mâle - Brittany

Hello, I caught this Haematopota thuesday in a bog on Molinia. Central Brittany, far from sea coast (70km). I have a doubt. - the first antennal segment is not all covered with grey (not grandis) - first antennal segment round, not more than 2x as long as broad (not subcylindrica and italica) - scutellum without pale spot (not scutellata) - third antennal segment not all black and abdomen with reddish spot (not crassicornis) - occiput with clear yellow hair (really visible in alive specimen) AND very long hair on eyes (a first point for bigoti) But black hairs seem to be too long for bigoti and front tibia more dark than yellow (a bad point for bigoti...) My conclusion : it's Haematopota pluvialis with long hairs on eye ? Sternite without evident reddish spot (as in pluvialis...) Coloration (brown and not grey) can exclude bigoti too       Any idea ? |

Well analyzed ! Th8s should be male bigoti, for the arguments given (though you reach a different conclusion) che k mid femur for traces of pink Theo |
