More Information about: predictive value
Term predictive value
Explanation The biological, faunistic and other information attached to a taxon. Some species level taxa have low predictive value since almost nothing is known about them. Others have high predictive value, for example, Musca domestica, about which millions of words have been written.
Families obviously have lower predictive value than species.

Hmm, predictive value is relative. In some respects the predictive value of a ubiquist like Musca domestica is next to nothing where as that of the family Thaumaleidae may be quite considerable.

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
