Hi, I found this (hover)fly on August 4, 2014 on the Kahlenberg in Vienna, Austria. At first I thought it might be volucella pelluscens, but that's obviously wrong. Hope you can help me with an ID. Hi Konrad, it's of the Tachinidae, Phasiinae - the abdomen looks a bit weird coloured to me, but perhaps Ectophasia? Greetings, Eric |
