I get stuck trying to key this Lauxaniidae with Shatalkin 2000. Am I correct that the Intra-alar is absent and does it have 0+3 or 1 +2 DC?

Thanks in advance

Thank you! I did not look well at point 1 of the generic key and therefore failed to key it. It now keys to Homoneura mediospinosa (=interstincta).

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
