Northern Germany, Schleswig-Holstein, Pinneberg-Waldenau near Hamburg, at the edge of the mixed forest Klövensteen, at a metallic railing of a bridge for pedestrians, length: ?? mm; 14st of June 2017. Outsidephotos: kuv. Rounded head like Sarcophagidae? To me it looks like Macronychia polyodon in the Gallery (s. https://diptera.i...to_id=3196). Please help to get the ID.

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
