This gray Tachinidae with orange legs I found yesterday 31.10.2020 in the vineyards of south Palatina / Germany.

May be Dinera grisescens?

Hi Rainer, it's one of the Muscidae - a Phaonia, I think.

Greetings, Eric

Hi Eric, thanks for your revision and note to the genus Phaonia, its quiet better.

The lightly orange legs suggest me to Phaonia valida, or may be there are other possibilities too?
Thanks for your Help,
Rainer

P. valida has 2 ac postsutural and the scutellum is red apically - it could be P. angelicae, but unfortunately I'm not sure.

Greetings, Eric

Thank you Eric, I've compared the pictures in the gallery, the red apically scutellum on Ph. validata I've seen on some pics, you are right, this couldn't it be. But I couldn't find an angelicae with such orange legs, what about P. errans?
Thanks for your Help,
Rainer

Phaonia is really a difficult one - errans should have long haired eyes (and I could not find one yet).

OK, see the clipped eyes, the hairs are around the eyes, not direct at the eyes.
