I think this fly is a Pollenia rudis or are there more Fly-look-a-like's like this?
Specific is golden hairy thorax with white/black blocked back(body).
Size ~8-11mm

Fly Regards, Robert

There are about 32 species of Pollenia in Europe - according to Fauna Europaea. As far as I've tried to identify this genus, I could say it is almost impossible to tell the species from the picture. Especially for the male fly.

That is a lot of Pollenia, I did not know.
It is very difficult then, I agree.

Thank you for your reaction.

I will try to fix the messages this month. We have to make some other configuration changes before software goes out of support at end of year.
