Hello,
I have some doubts about the identification of this female of Platypezidae since two species are very closed: Lindneromyia dorsalis and Platypeza fasciata. What is your opinion ? This specimen was recently observed (August 23th) in Burgundy (North of Yonne department). Many thanks for your help. Sincerely yours. Jean-Michel Garel.

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
