Platystoma seminationis var. frauenfeldi Nowicki.
I believe this to be just a morph of seminationis , but a good population molecular study of that species throughout its areal is needed.

Thank! In one place at one time 12 specimens were caught, visually similar, can we assume that they are all Platystoma seminationis var. frauenfeldi Nowicki, 1867 ?
By what grounds can this be confirmed?

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
