 Hi,
Some days ago I watched this medium-sized brown Empis with a lot of stripes on the thorax. I am not sure what species it is, so help is greatly appreciated! The locality was southwestern Germany, 20 km west of Stuttgart.

 Oops - I should have known it! I compared with my photos of E. livida but they seemed to have only three stripes on the thorax. Well, may be it's a matter of exposure to light and reflection...

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
