I know the photo is blurry, but maybe the thorax pattern is so unique that an ID is possible nevertheless?

Found in a forest in Vienna, end of April

All requests are from the urban area of Vienna, if not otherwise stated.

My Diptera observations (and other living forms) can be found here, and corrections or comments over there would also be appreciated.

Even if species ID is not possible, am I at least right with the family?

Thank you Paul.
Although a final ID might not be possible, with the wing markings, the dorsal thorax pattern and the dark area on the front femur, to me S. furcata seems to be a good match.
Cheers, Lorin

I will try to fix the messages this month. We have to make some other configuration changes before software goes out of support at end of year.
