Dear colleagues, I would need advice. How to proceed, when you are a long time without fixing agents, you probably won't get to them that soon - but you need to fix insect samples from beer traps ?... It is possible to use some common household items ? (e.g. salt, vinegar ?) - which could preserve the samples for a longer of time…(few months). Thank you in advance for your advice ! By the way, it depends on what you will do with your specimens. For DNA extraction 96 alcohol or aceton are better. For future mounting vodka is better. Nikita Vikhrev - Zool Museum of Moscow University |
