Dear colleagues,
I would need advice.
How to proceed, when you are a long time without fixing agents, you probably won't get to them that soon - but you need to fix insect samples from beer traps ?...
It is possible to use some common household items ? (e.g. salt, vinegar ?) - which could preserve the samples for a longer of time…(few months).
Thank you in advance for your advice !
Best wishes and stay healthy.

Hi Jozef.
If I have no 96° alkohol, I use vodka (or whiskey, or cognac)!

By the way, it depends on what you will do with your specimens.
For DNA extraction 96 alcohol or aceton are better.
For future mounting vodka is better.
