Ca. 12 mms. I have newer seen such a fly before, but speculate Odontomyia argentata. On a shrubby and boggy meadow S of Horsens, Denmark, today.

Thank you, Paul! I saw the animal at quite some distance (one meter or so), so I think my size estimate may have fallen victim to a "zoom view" effect due to my focused attention... |
