Hi, This small (about 4mm) fly was photographed at Cernay-la-Ville, 40km SW of Paris in a wet zone near a river. Any idea of its identity (genus/family)? Thanks for any help, FRV FRV attached the following image: ![]() [140.78Kb] |

It is risky to assess even family without information on wing veins. I would say Lauxaniidae. |

Thank you Jan! Unfortunately I had not the time (nor the light) to take more pictures. But your guess seems correct, maybe Sapromyza or Homoneura? |
