Hi,
This fly from Berlin (14 October 2016) is puzzling me. Unfortunately, it stayed just for a few lateral pictures and then flew off. It should be a member of Dexiinae. Its arista is hairy. Is it possible to find out a genus?
Thanks in advance, Sundew

Well spotted, but not all Tachinids with plumose arista are Dexiini.
It is the female of Thelaira solivaga.
Pretty late, for this species !

Fine! Up to now T. nigripes was the only kown Thelaira species for Berlin and Brandenburg. So I shall add it to our species list https://www.orion...liegen.php.
Many thanks!

PS. OK, tribe is Voriini, but it belongs to subfamily Dexiinae - so I was right Grin
