Hello,
I am a botanist and a beginner for the observation of Diptera but it interests me to know. I found this fly which seemed to me to be Fannia canicularis because the wings correspond well but the femurs and the tibia are red. Can you tell me what you think. Fannia peregrinum?
I am in the Mediterranean region in France. Thanks for your help.

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
