Nice find! This fly belongs to the genus Daspletis. Would key out to D. hirtus or D. vulpes, but it's hard to confirm without a specimen.

Thanks so much Chris. After not getting a reply for a while, I sent it elsewhere and the same ID was given - Daspletis sp., poss. D. hirtus. Your time is much appreciated.
