Is it possible to tell genus and eventually spieces of this female with brownish scutellum? I suppose that this also are a female Nowickia marklini. Photo from 7 August 2017 Icktjärn 62 N, E 17 Ångermanland, Sweden. Yes. You have a second, almost identical species, esp. in female sex (alpina) Theo |

The length of the arista differs in males... in my very limited experience (I got alpina from Lapland and Siberia), I cannot tell the females apart. Theo |
