Hello Miroslav, knowing a location is most helpful. I suspect that the photos were made in Europe. Do you have a specimen? None-the-less, it is a male of the rudis group. The photos are not particularly helpful. If you made the photos in Europe, then it could be a male Pollenia pediculata from what is visible in the photos: basicosta brown. Outer ph seta present. t1 with 2 pv; t2 with 2-3 ad, f2 and f3 seem to have only black hairs on p and pv surface. t3 lacks long av hairs between av setae. from experience, the reddish vibrissal corner and narrow facial keel also support pediculata. Overall, you should check the underside of the wing for a tuft of pale hairs at the h-sc node. Best wishes, John John and Nini. Naturalists not experts. |

Definitely pale hairs at the h-sc node. I would say Pollenia pediculata. |

Hello, the wing is definitely from a Pollenia pediculata. The other species known to have hairs on this node do not match the species in your photos and they do not have as many hairs as pediculata. Nice work! Best wishes, John John and Nini. Naturalists not experts. |
