the odd habitus, particularly the shape and posture of the wings, reminds me of an ulidiid along the lines of Callopistromyia strigula in North America https://bugguide....view/83374 or this Peruvian Pterocalla from the gallery https://diptera.i...to_id=7109

I suggest taking that with a grain of salt and waiting for an expert

You're quite welcome but I suggest adding a question mark after Ulidiidae because neither John nor I are sure of what your fly is
