I found this Atylotus female on 11th July 2019 (dry, sandy meadow, eastern Lower Saxony). Is it A. rusticus?

Yes, nice to see a female feeding on a flower.

Thanks again, Theo!
I used your very fine Tabanidae key (Veldgids DAZEN (Diptera -Tabanidae) van Noordwest-Europa). Tabanidae are quite poorly known in Lower Saxony (Tachinidae even less, like meny other Diptera families), and Atylotus rusticus is not listed for Lower Saxony yet, so I wanted to be sure.
The same ist true for Ectophasia and Stomorhina - both genera are not published to occur in Lower Saxony yet.

kind regards
Jann
