October 25, 2019, Bali, Buleleng, Sukasada, Desa Pancasari env., 1300m (western slopes of Gunung Penggilingan). On a fallen tree trunk. Definitely attracted to frass produced by woodboring insects. Wing/body length (both sexes) ca. 5.5-6/3.8-4mm. Generally similar to P. hologaster Hendel, 1914 from Taiwan (cf. Galinskaya & Shatalkin, 2013, Zootaxa 3666 (2): 267-285), yet no spot between base of antenna and eye, frons in males almost completely yellow-orange, weakly darkened. Palpi brown in females, yellow in males.

While others can't climb, using infinite pains,
I, gravity turning to jest,
Ascend, with all ease, perpendicular planes,
Rough or smooth, just as pleases me best.
