I?ve seen one photo of a fly and I?m not sure, but it seems sciomyzidae to me, but looking for genus I only see darker ones; it?s similar to Coremacera, but really pink!
I can?t find any reference to know if it?s coloration depends on weather or if it?s a different species

this photo?s been taken in Asturias (the north of spain is very similar to the west coast of france, everything green (meadow), rainy weather)

I saw a picture of a similar wing belonging to Euthycera chaerophylli in Fauna d'Italia. That is indeed Sciomyzidae.

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
